Anwar Khan

Anwar is the Founder and President of OBAT Helpers. He recently retired from his position at General Motors after an almost nineteen year stint with the company as  Lead Auditor of Quality Management Systems. He became a Helper in 2004, upon visiting a camp in Bangladesh and learning about the dire situation that the Urdu-Speaking community had faced for decades. Anwar hopes to empower the long forgotten community and help them assimilate into mainstream society as strong, productive members of their communities.Anwar holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from NED University of Science and Technology, Karachi and a Masters in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University, Indianapolis. Anwar is a Certified Quality Auditor and a member of the ASQ, American Society of Quality. He is also associated with numerous social services, educational and voluntary activities.At present, Anwar is also serving as the CEO of Global Excellence Consulting Group which focuses on quality management systems for businesses and nonprofits. He is also certified as a National Baldrige Examiner. Since early 2017, he has also served as a certified coach and speaker with the John Maxwell team. Read more about and connect with him here.
