OBAT’s partnership with TTWF (Teach the World Foundation) has brought the innovative methodology of digital learning to its students- students learn through gamified apps.
This has proven to be a highly effective mechanism for combating illiteracy among the poor, especially in situations where there is a shortage of qualified teaching staff. Digital learning requires minimal supervision, is largely self-driven and has a higher engagement level of the student. The digital learning program began in April 2017 in Market Camp in Dhaka. At present, there are 2 digital learning centers being run by OBAT in partnership with TTWF. One of these is located in OBAT’s Dhaka English School where 70 students from Nursery and Grade 1 are learning through this program. Another center is located in Geneva camp. 125 students (including 50 working children), are studying at this center.
This project is a great learning opportunity for OBAT’s preschool and primary school children. We hope that through this joint venture, we will be able to make a bigger impact on our next generation of students. Watch the videos below to see the impact and the project in action.
