OBAT Helpers is dedicated to improving maternal and newborn health for Rohingya refugees and vulnerable families in Rangpur. In overcrowded camps where daily labor sustains families, pregnancy often brings fear. Our program provides expert maternity care from the first trimester to delivery ensuring safe births and healthy futures. We are proud to join the Every Pregnancy Ramadan Campaign, expanding our efforts to empower mothers and nurture the next generation. Together, we are building a healthier tomorrow for those who need it most.
Ramadan is a time to share blessings, especially with those in need. In Bangladesh, where 91.04% of the population is Muslim, many live in poverty. In OBAT-supported Urdu-speaking camps, almost 100% of the targeted population is Muslim, struggling to afford basic meals despite working as rickshaw pullers, laborers, barbers, maids, or small vendors.
The community includes elders, widows, people with disabilities, and orphans lacking support. OBAT provides essential groceries, ensuring they can observe Ramadan with dignity and ease.
