Dr. Michael Drusano
Dr. Drusano is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a graduate of the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program, the first Family Medicine program in the United States. He has quite a bit of experience in community health, having worked with diverse medically underserved communities in both Florida and California, regularly seeing adults, children, the elderly, and patients needing basic OB-GYN care.
In addition, he has extensive experience in volunteer work and global health, having worked with refugee populations and in settings marked by conflict, having worked with Syrian and Yazidi refugees in Greece in December 2016, three times in Bangladesh in the refugee camps housing survivors of the Rohingya genocide, performing medical evaluations for asylum seekers and torture survivors in the United States, as well as having done work in places such as Somalia, in Democratic Republic of Congo’s war zone in the eastern portion of the country, and Sierra Leone working in an Ebola Treatment Unit during the Ebola pandemic there.
