Charlie Wiles is the Executive Director of Center for Interfaith Cooperation (CIC) in Indianapolis. Charlie has also served as the founding director of Peace Learning Center from its inception in 1997 until August of 2003.

After obtaining a degree in Political Science from Indiana University, Charlie began working as a Caucus Assistant for the Indiana General Assembly. In 1990, at the onset of the Gulf War, he volunteered to join the U.S. Army Reserves as a combat medic. Corporal Wiles served as a Platoon Leader during his service in the military.

In 1995, Charlie accepted a position as AmeriCorps Director at the Marion County Family Advocacy Center. Mr. Wiles worked with several community leaders to establish collaboration with Indianapolis Public Schools, AmeriCorps and Indianapolis Parks Department to establish the Peace Learning Center (PLC) in Eagle Creek Park where youth could study peaceful conflict resolution skills while developing an appreciation and respect for the natural environment. Charlie lives on the north side of Indianapolis with his wife, Sachiko and three daughters, Lena, Aya and Mia Utsumi Wiles.
