Thousands of families have been helped through OBAT’s  Ramadan Food Distribution and Qurbani Meat Distribution programs. These programs are conducted around the two Muslim festivals celebrated in the camps- Eid-al-Fitr and Eid-al-Adha.

Preceding Eid-al-Fitr and during Ramadan, food packages are distributed to the camp residents. These consist of staples such as rice, lentils, vermicelli, oil, flour etc. You can contribute toward the distribution of these packages by donating toward them a month before and throughout Ramadan.

Meat is also distributed during Eid-al-Adha. Qurbani prices are announced around 4 weeks before Eid-al-Adha. Please check back to donate toward Qurbani at that time.

OBAT’S QURBANI PROGRAM

As the needs of camp families continue, we will continue to work in their service… not just in Eid-ul-Adha, but year-round, to ensure that every camp resident knows that they are not forgotten and through God’s mercy they will feel the love, commitment, and compassion of their global family when they need us most.

Since 2009, we have provided:

0
Goats
0
Cows

Feeding over 100,000 families.. more than half a million people
through the Qurbani program alone!

Qurbani During Eid-ul Adha is an act to commemorate Prophet Ibrahim’s sacrifice as mentioned in the Holy Quran. Every Year, Muslims around the world, sacrifice a sheep, goat, cattle, or camel during this sacred time and give a portion of the meat to the poor and needy. The entire event is undertaken with tremendous kindness & compassion, from the sacrifice of the animal itself to the distribution of the meat to those in need.

OBAT has been blessed to be operating its Qurbani Program since 2009. It is our practice to be in the service of those who need us most. As such, we distribute Qurbani amongst some of the poorest and neediest displaced camp residents in Bangladesh. We are truly grateful and continuously humbled by the impact we’ve been able to make through the Qurbani program over the years.
