3 Virtual Events Bring OBAT Supporters Together

April was packed with exciting virtual events hosted by OBAT as well as for OBAT.

As they often are, Seattle supporters were at the helm. Led by Mr. Rizwan Samad and aided by other key supporters Mr. Aftab Farooqui, Mr. Harris Syed and Mr. Jawaid Ekram, the group conducted a remarkable fundraising effort.

This was followed by OBAT’s Ramadan Live Event, hosted by Preacher Moss and including guests from Bangladesh such as students pursuing an education through OBAT’s scholarships.

The very next day, Dr. Michael Drusano (a three-time volunteer at OBAT’s Rohingya clinic), led a successful fundraising effort for Rohingya fire victims. He was joined by other volunteers, Dr. Minal Ahson and Ms. Ruth Kaiser. The three volunteers gave moving and powerful accounts of their experiences in the Rohingya camps. All events included speakers from Bangladesh who gave personal accounts of how they have benefitted from OBAT’s work. Thank you to all who attended and extended support. A huge shout out to Rizwan Samad and Dr. Drusano for spearheading fundraising efforts for OBAT.
