Approx. 4,000 Families Receive Nutritional Support During the Pandemic

COVID-19 has taken a severe toll in the already impoverished camps in Bangladesh.
Most of the camp residents are day laborers such as construction workers or rickshaw pullers. With the loss in income, the ability to feed their families is acutely compromised.
Euglena Genki has been partnering with OBAT in improving the nutrition of the children in the OBAT schools in Dhaka by donating nutritious biscuits. Recently, they arranged a special distribution in light of the distressing conditions created by the pandemic. 900 families from the OBAT’s BLS and Shaheen Mirpur School received a supply of the biscuits from Euglena. Euglena also distributed nutritious biscuits among 3,000 families in 5 camps in Mohammadpur. These distributions were carried out by OBAT’s Think Tank volunteers.
