The women enrolled in OBAT’s projects are resilient mothers, inspiring young ladies, and little girls whose eyes sparkle with confidence. There are plenty of reasons to celebrate them and OBAT did just that on International Women’s Day. A celebration was organized with the students of OBAT’s Women Empowerment Centers throughout the country. Students had fun participating in different competitions and receiving prizes!
OBAT’s Think Tanks in Rupsha and Khulna and GEEP Bangladesh (Gender Equity and Empowerment Program) jointly organized a training and discussion. The training’s purpose was to teach self-defense to women, and among other things, explain the difference between good touch and bad touch. OBAT’s Sewing Center in Rangpur organized a sewing competition. Fifteen students participated in this competition.
In the Rohingya project as well, the day was celebrated among the women enrolled in the empowerment projects.
