Students at the OBAT Halishaher school begin their day with a round of exercises. Health and fitness is encouraged at every OBAT School. All the schools have annual sports events that the students enjoy participating in.         ...

OBAT’s three tutoring centers provide students with after school coaching to improve their grades and help them pass their major exams. Most of these students have illiterate parents and hence they cannot help their children with homework or exam preparation. Recently, students studying at OBAT’s tutoring centers in Dhaka, Mymensingh and Rangpur took their Secondary School Certificate (equivalent to high school) exams. Rani is a seven year old with an impeccable attendance record and an equally impressive progress report. She studies in OBAT’s Rangpur Preschool. Her father, Nasir earns about $1.50 a day as a worker at a railway station. Rani’s mother, Shakila is illiterate and stays at home. Out of her two siblings, Lily and Sakib, Lily attends prechool as well. Rani lives with her family in a small rented hut made out of sticks and bamboo.  Thanks to all your support, OBAT has won the Global Giving Challenge and was successful in raising $4,230 from 52 donors!
