Sohail Akhter Khan lives in Chittagong, Bangladesh and is the Program Manager for OBAT.
Prior to working with OBAT, Sohail had worked with Concern Worldwide, an international charity for 22 years. His core area of focus was always, Education though he is also experienced in Disaster Management. He has also worked with UNICEF and various other Government programs and received training from these organizations during the course of this period. Due to his involvement with many nonprofits, Sohail has written articles on education and issues concerning stranded Pakistanis and received awards for his contribution to the education sector.
Sohail’s ties with OBAT go back to 2005. From 2008, he started overseeing all the educational projects of OBAT. In January of 2012, he assumed responsibility for all of OBAT projects.
In his words, “I admire OBAT because it is working for my community and this is where I have contributed the greatest time of my career as well. I feel lucky that I had the chance to serve my community and I salute OBAT for their contribution towards our community.”
