OBAT’s women empowerment center trains women to sew basic clothing items. This enables them to pursue sewing as a profession, earn a living, and improve their family’s financial status. From time to time, the women learn to sew other items as well. In recent months, they learned how to stitch masks for OBAT’s clinic. With the onset of summer, they are now learning to stitch and embroider hand-held fans, thus diversifying their skills and increasing their earning prospects.
