International Day of Disabled Persons is observed across the globe each year on December 3rd to promote an understanding of disability issues and to mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. In recognition of this important event, OBAT’s Think Tanks observed #WorldDisabilityDay by recognizing the disabled camp residents, bringing attention to their plight, and taking action to help. Think Tankers organized food and blanket distributions and made social visits to the homes of disabled residents to share snacks and refreshments and to discuss ways to improve their daily lives.
OBAT’s objective is to build future leaders through its Think Tank program. We are so proud of these young men and women who rise up to every occasion of need and attempt to address it through creative solutions.
