Shaheda completed her elementary schooling from OBAT’S SB Nagar School in Chittagong obtaining a stellar 4.50 GPA in her PSC (Primary School Certificate) board exams. She has since then continued her education with scholarship support from OBAT and excelled further in her SSC (secondary school certificate) and HSC (high school certificate) exams obtaining a 5.0, golden GPA in the latter. Eager to learn, she also completed computer courses from OBAT’s IT Center.
Nowshin is another student who has been attending OBAT’s Chittagong Tutoring Center since grade 7 and has always excelled in her studies.
Their aspirations led both these young women to apply for the admission test for Asian University of Women. The Asian University for Women (AUW) is an independent and international university located in Chittagong, Bangladesh, whose goal is to produce leaders in various fields. The university has a rigorous merit-based admissions process. Most of the students are on full scholarship and many of them are the first in their families to attend university. Students from about 20 countries around the world attend school here.
We are so happy and proud to share with you that both Nowshin and Shaheda have been accepted by AUW and will be starting their new terms soon. With these new admits, the total number of OBAT scholarship students to attend AUW is now 9. Congratulations Nowshin and Shaheda, we are so proud of you!
