Eid is a lot sweeter and happier when you share its joy with others! All children regardless of their circumstances, look forward to celebrating Eid with new clothes and henna. Vulnerable families and orphan children in the camps are often deprived of this simple joy. Every year, our team takes these kids for Eid shopping, buys them Eid gifts, and creates henna designs on the hands of little girls. This year, the wonderful volunteers of OBAT’s Think Tanks made every effort to make Eid memorable for the camp residents. Eid food baskets were distributed among 200 families in Syedpur and 175 families in Dhaka. A henna program was also organized for girls. In Syedpur, 15 orphaned children and 40 vulnerable individuals were gifted Eid clothes. In Rangpur, other than a henna festival, Eid clothes were also distributed among 6 orphan kids in the railway slum area. OBAT’s Dhaka team distributed 150 clothes among orphan students and 152 clothes among senior citizens and our Think Tanks in Mirpur and Mohammadpur organized a henna program with the orphan children of the area. OBAT’s Think Tank in Gilatala distributed Eid clothes among the 6 most disadvantaged kids in the area, and the Think Tank in Bogura took 11 kids shopping so they could choose their own clothes and shoes! In Khulna, 17 people received Eid gifts. It was a joy for our team and volunteers to see so many faces light up with happiness! Thank you for joining us to spread much needed joy this Eid!
You spread so much joy this Eid!
