OBAT’s scholarship student is thriving in news media

Tanvir had to drop out of technical college due to his family’s financial struggles; he is one of 9 siblings. OBAT offered him a scholarship to pursue his education. While doing so, Tanvir was also actively involved with the Think Tank. He pursued his love of photography as well by taking photos for Think Tank projects.

Tanvir participated in a photo contest organized by the Bangladesh Peace Club and attained the first place in the country. Soon, he started working for the Asian TV channel as an assistant camera man. Tanvir is simultaneously working as a news editor in a well-known online Bangladeshi newspaper, “Shadhin Bangla Sangba.”

“Ever since I joined OBAT’s Think Tank, my thinking has changed. This is what I wanted to do since I was a child. However, my home and camp environment was not at all conducive for achieving my dreams. OBAT’s Think Tank is a unique platform that helped me develop my talent and gave me the courage and support I needed.”
