As the pandemic continues to affect lives, the safety of our students is of utmost importance to us. In the Rohingya project, the education project staff received special training on workplace first aid and Covid-19 resilience.
Our students’ successes are always a cause for rejoicing for us. OBAT’s Chittagong team had much to celebrate recently as scholarship students, Hajera Akhter and Popy Akhter completed their Diploma course in Textiles from Chittagong Women Polytechnic Institute. Both are now working in the garments industry.
OBAT is fortunate to partner with Bee Humble for supporting newborn babies and their families in the Rohingya camps.
With no access to health care, many camp residents do not get the eye care they need and remain untreated for their vision related illnesses.
We are very excited to share with you the beginning of OBAT’s collaboration with the number 1 private university in Bangladesh, North South University(northsouth.edu). The two organizations have signed an MOU to begin a close alliance which will be of mutual benefit.
