OBAT is proud to have a majority of female student enrollment as well as more female teachers. It firmly believes that access to education and empowerment opportunities is crucial for each and every girl. OBAT’s High School in Syedpur observed the “International Day for the Girl Child” with all its female students and their parents. During the program, students shared their thoughts which were echoed and built upon by the teachers. Teachers encouraged the parents to provide higher education to their daughters and raised awareness about the social problems created by early marriages.
