Japanese Biotech Giant Helps Camp Children Fight Malnutrition

Long time supporter of OBAT, Euglena, a Japanese biotech giant, is helping camp children fight malnutrition by providing nutrition-rich biscuits through its GENKI program. Inspired by a visit to Bangladesh camps as a student, Euglena president, Mitsuru Izumo, founded the company and established the GENKI program to help solve the issue of hunger in camp communities. The biscuits were distributed in September, free of charge, among the students of OBAT’s School, Preschool, Tutoring Center, Computer Training Center, Sewing Center, and Think Tank for a total of 655 children receiving the nutritional biscuits. Kudos to our Rangpur team and Think Tank and our Khulna team for implementing the program. We are so grateful to Euglena and for helping us ensure the well-being and health of our students!
