Mourning an OBAT friend and board director

We are saddened to share the tragic news that our advisor, board member, champion of the OBAT Think Tank, mentor, and dear friend Dr. John Clark, has passed away.

Aside from being a gentle and kind individual, Dr. Clark had many accomplishments to his name. The Indianapolis Star hailed Dr. Clark as “the foremost public intellectual in Indiana.” He was recognized as one of Central Indiana’s leading experts on international affairs. Having served as a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, he also helped establish the Sagamore Institute for Policy Research, a think tank in Indianapolis. Dr. Clark also touched the lives of several students as a much-beloved professor at Indiana University’s School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

Dr. John Clark was a man who served as an advocate and supporter for countless individuals and missions. His contributions to the Indianapolis community and the world cannot be measured, but simply felt in the accounts shared of such a selfless visionary.

OBAT has lost a great friend and advocate and he will be truly missed by all of our team.

May he rest in peace.
