Last year, 29 students from various OBAT computer centers received Graphic Design Training and Certification provided by Coderstrust, Bangladesh. Coderstrust is a renowned organization that makes education and digital skills accessible to students at a very affordable cost.
After finishing the course, OBAT arranged a graphic design contest to encourage our students to test out the skills that they learned and apply that knowledge to create content related to our projects.
An anonymous donor was excited to hear about this contest and wanted to encourage the students even further. He donated a laptop for the winner in order to foster a competitive spirit amongst the students.
We would like to congratulate the winner of the contest, Md. Nowshad from Chittagong, for his hard work and creativity.
“Alhamdulillah. I would like to thank OBAT Helpers as well as all the individuals who have come up with such a competition. This increases the students’ focus on learning. By participating in this design competition, my interest in designing has increased. And I will use this laptop gained from the competition to start my career in freelance work.” -Md. Nowshad.
OBAT’s Director of Policy and Partner Engagement, Mr. Masum Mahbub, is coordinating with the sponsor and other donors to continue these efforts in the future. He said that OBAT would like to support the youth by making information technology more accessible to them to enhance their skills.
Thank you to Coderstrust Bangladesh for providing this training to our youth. We hope to hold more competitions of this kind to encourage our students to utilize their talents and start their careers as freelancers.
