Universal Health Coverage Day is observed on 12th of December annually. The day marks the anniversary of the United Nations’ historic endorsement of universal health coverage in 2012 calling for all nations to provide for their citizens affordable and quality health care.
Our students in the Rohingya women empowerment center are proud of the beautiful clothing they stitch. Recently, their hand made clothing was displayed for sale at a winter market in Cox’s Bazar.

Ducks, pigeons and chickens! Thirty members of the host community in Cox’s Bazar as well as Rohingya refugee women received 200 animals from OBAT: 50 chickens and ducks each as well as 100 pigeons.
In early December, OBAT’s Mohammadpur IT Center celebrated its graduating batch of students by awarding them with completion certificates.
Our Scouts at SB Nagar Junior High School continue to amaze us! They participated in a district scout competition where they bagged five awards.
As the pandemic continues to affect lives, the safety of our students is of utmost importance to us. In the Rohingya project, the education project staff received special training on workplace first aid and Covid-19 resilience.
Our students’ successes are always a cause for rejoicing for us. OBAT’s Chittagong team had much to celebrate recently as scholarship students, Hajera Akhter and Popy Akhter completed their Diploma course in Textiles from Chittagong Women Polytechnic Institute. Both are now working in the garments industry.
